Liposuction
may be performed using a "wet" or a "dry"
technique. Your surgeon should discuss your options in
deciding which procedure is best suited for your situation.
In
the "dry" technique, liposuction is performed without
injecting additional fluids into the area being treated.
Using
the "wet" technique, a combination of fluids are injected
into the area being treated in order to reduce bleeding and
to serve as a form of anesthesia.
